ALL HAIL THE (GASP) POSSIBLE COMMANDER-IN-THIEF

So…we are now witness to the travesty of a person standing for the job of The President of the United States of America who is currently being sued for fraud by over 5,000 people, in New York alone. People who were allegedly scammed for anywhere from 20K to 60K each. Besides this class-action lawsuit there are currently two other class-action lawsuits against this person, one Donald J. Trump, in California. The suits all involve the same alleged fraudulent entity; Trump “University.”

In addition, Donald J. Trump, the Republican Party’s great “white” hope is also involved in 169 Federal lawsuits. These lawsuits involve; violating the FTC’s notification requirements, a work crew contending that Trump cheated workers out of at least $300,000 in contributions to its benefit funds by secretly employing nonunion workers, and Trump’s corporation filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy from creditors – who did not get paid for services following the building of the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  By 1991, the resort was nearly $3 billion in debt, according to the New York Times. He was named as a defendant in 21 lawsuits filed by different businesses and individuals. Several sued him for securities fraud and breach of contract.

An exclusive USA TODAY analysis of legal filings across the United States finds that the Republican presidential nominee’s businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in federal and state courts during the past three decades. They range from skirmishes with casino patrons to million-dollar real estate suits to personal defamation lawsuits. And the records review found at least 50 civil lawsuits remain open even as he currently claims the nomination at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

To this shameful record let us now add the debacle that was Melania Trump’s speech which we now know contained an entire passage plagiarized from Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech at the Democratic Convention.

And, even in the face of the fact that Mrs. Trump spoke the passage, containing some 60 exact same words in the exact same order save one or two changes, the Trump campaign bald-facedly denies this was plagiarism and will not fire the person or persons responsible.

This is the unreal nature of this Trump campaign. A campaign of lies, by lies, for lies, told by a serial liar cloaked in an in-your-face bragging, belligerent, bellicose, puerile display. It is a campaign, and now a convention, filled with psychotic rants and speeches unthethered to reality, all drenched in negativity, narcissism, lies, hate, fear, xenophobia, homophobia and imaginary “facts.” It would be comical were it not so tragic a farce.

This egotistical bloviating insecure bully has designs on putting his devalued “name” on yet another building. Our building. What this crook is doing is tantamount to a thief trying to steal the White House in broad daylight. Aided and abetted by other crooks, liars and delusional dupes who, besides their own negativity and serial lies, think nothing of stooping to steal the words and high-minded thoughts delivered by a graceful first lady 8 years ago by putting her words into Donald Trump’s wife’s mouth!  These cynical liars lack the gene for shame.

And the fish always stinks from the head down.

In short, what we are witnessing is the campaign of a fraud, a con man, a cheat, a liar, a thief.

P.S. This is a party that cannot run a convention but asks us to believe they can run a country.

P.T. Barnum would be proud!

  2. It’s amazes me how some seemingly intelligent people can support Trump. One such example appears in the comments to my post today on my blog http://theobservationpost.wordpress.com/ — and I don’t doubt the lady in question is intelligent, because we had been followers of each others’ blogs for some time, and I had no idea that she backed Trump.

    One never knows, do one?

  3. Yes. I’m amazed that so many people are fine with the way Trump operates. They wouldn’t if they had been wronged by him. Or would they? As I said at the end of my post yesterday, I think his followers trust that he will use his bullying skills for their benefit. But every time I’ve made the mistake of trusting a bully, I’ve ended up licking my wounds and fending for myself.
