A SIN!

I am watching the elegant and eloquent President Barack Obama speaking about his Vice President Joe Biden.

It is an abject sin that what we are about to replace these two men and their accomplished and beautiful wives with is a grotesquerie of monstrous proportions. I fear for what we will shortly experience courtesy of the Oligarchical/Fascist dictatorship now entering Washington D.C. with all their phony flag pin patriotism. They will enter with pomp and circumstance while the people who voted them in cheer – as the millions cheered Adolf Hitler some eighty-four years ago.

Be suspicious when a man stands there needing a backdrop of eight American flags – attesting to his great patriotism. The sure trappings of a con man, a phony, a liar, a cheat. This is what we are getting. And, I am sad to say that I hope the rubes who voted for this scurrilous sociopathic, ignorant (and proud of it) narcissist reap what they have sown…even though it means our swift decline into the dust of history. That’s how deep my anger goes.

I weep for my country.

  1. I tried to comment earlier and the words didn’t appear (have had trouble with comments for two days now). Wanted to say I’m also worried for America. An Australian commentator said today that the journalists at the Drumpf press conference should have walked out when Drumpf wouldn’t take a question from the CNN reporter. They/we have to stick together to expose him.

    • this is exactly what Hitler/Geobbels did in Germany in the 1930’s – shut down the media…no surprise since according to first wife Ivana, Herr Drumpf kept a book of Hitler’s speeches on his nightstand. i spit in his ugly orange face. thanx LP. continue…

  2. I’ve been in tears all week. First the President’s farewell address, then Michelle’s sparkling appearance last night on late night TV, and finally today’s award presentation. Knowing these warm, kind, dedicated people are being replaced with the likes of Donald Trump and his family … words fail me.

  5. Yesterday a friend called, upset about a supervisor at work who is unfocused, doesn’t understand his job, keeps throwing monkey wrenches into things, comes up with showy ideas that don’t make projects better but do consume the time he thinks everyone is wasting…. She couldn’t understand why this was making her feel crazy, because a lot of working people deal with this kind of crap. She’s dealt with it before. I told her that for thinking people who are decent, kind, open-hearted and open-minded, everything’s got to feel harder with this freakshow’s inauguration so close on the horizon. The horror of him is always there, buzzing like a fly trapped between the ears, and her supervisor just echoes the ridiculousness. She got quiet for a moment and stopped crying. For the moment, being able to identify the feeling helped. Problem is we’ve got to get through four years of this before we can fix it.

  6. Someone on talk radio called him “Twitler.” I thought that was a pretty good one.

  8. Mr. Powers, I can understand now what Susan Sarandon said about collateral damage. There are moments in our history where a powerful shake-down is the right solution.. It is sad and tragic and very unnecessary.
