Kamala Harris must stop reacting and responding to any and all of Trump’s statements, whatever they are about. The debate, her ethnicity, her name, etc. She must instead speak to what he is saying in this way:
“I want all of you in the voting public, especially you folks who are still on the fence about who to vote for, to listen carefully from now on…or to go back on YouTube and listen to what always comes out of Mr. Trump’s mouth. In your own interest, and the interest of your children’s future and the future of our country, I’m asking you to try to wade through the slew of snide remarks and insults he hurls, through the slurs and lies about my heritage and the intentional mispronunciations of my name…in every speech, every interview, every comment. Listen to his words, and if you can detect in any of his comments one single actual way in which he will better your lives, one single solitary plan of action to lift your standard of living, one positive clear proposal to help you and your children reach your goals, then you are a smarter person than me. Listen to what he says. His speeches are insults, not policy. Instead of outlining plans to better all our lives, he lies about, and makes false attacks on decent honorable people that you have elected. People who are doing their very best to move things in a positive direction forward for us all. He stands there and insults them. Insults us all. His words are always negative, dark and hopeless. He is himself a negative. His dark ideas come from his cronies’ Project 2025. Listen to him carefully. See if somewhere, anywhere, within his torrent of lies, hateful insults, shark stories, see if within the spew of all his besides-the-point negativity, you hear the shred of one single positive plan he has to lift your life. If you do hear him utter at least two actual positive plans to better your life, if you think his slurs and insults will serve to move us forward, if you think his lies and negative words serve to help you and your family, then by all means vote for him. But, if you do not, if you do not…then do not, you cannot, waste your precious vote – the vote that our sons and daughters have fought and died for, on the likes of a Mr. Trump. Here are a few of my plans to make our lives better.”
And then she should outline her own positive plans. Her programs that will lift all of us. This is the point! This is what Harris should be doing.

Posted by leggypeggy | August 5, 2024, 3:39 amI have been telling everyone who will listen, that if they know even just one person that is on the fence, they need to show them just some of the proof of what trump has really done to the country, since 2015. There is so much information that they only need to pick a topic that person cares about and show them that he is a clear and present danger to our Democracy. If everyone can swing one or two voters we will have done more to save our country than just vote.

I am starting to see on social media, people are just posting on how ridiculous some of the lies are and moving on. Now if the press would take this tack it would be much smarter. People have been chasing their tails on debunking every single lie by trump, since he came down that damn escalator.

My thing is we know who will surely vote for trump – it’s these “undecideds” (and they must be living on another planet) who must be convinced. So, they must be constantly reminded, that within all the lies and insults, they have not heard one single trump proposal to better their lot. And what they have heard about is Project 2025. This has to be hammered into their thick skulls. The “undecideds” (again, not sure why, unless they’re closet racists) will tip the balance in this race. (Of course, all bets are off if the Electoral College does the deciding. See: Hillary, who won the popular vote by 2.9 million votes. (What a dumb system we have when Montana, with a population of 12 people gets as much representation as Cal, or NY.) Thanks Dennis. Stay well, and continue…

If she ignores him and just works on informing voters of her plans for working on their behalf, that would go a very long way toward neutralizing him. Just like the Wicked Witch of the West getting a bucket of water thrown over her.
