  1. It’s become painful to watch, this Republican field. And Cain is the King of Pain. I’m embarrassed for him at this point.

  3. Besides my laughter at the past week’s pair of “brain freeze moments”, I’m amazed we haven’t seen this sort of thing much before with other candidates. How do they access and articulate all those facts (and lies) at the drop of a hat?

Even if I was really, really smart, my inability to find the right word for stuff like that thing on my wall –you know, the thing with the wooden thingy around it, um… um… you know… it’s got a field on it with trees… um… it’s on paper… um… under glass… uh… oh never mind– would make anyone listening think I was an idiot. As one of the verbally slow under pressure, that part of me is snickering in solidarity.

    • Re, very funny, and a fine analogy. but these “candidates” are supposed to KNOW that that’s a picture on the wall…already! the relatively smarter ones among them know it would be arrogant not to bone up on this stuff constantly so they can fool us at will. now this other bunch, i e perry, cain, bachmann, palin, are merely media creations for the ignoramuses among us who seriously believe in their delusion of self grandeur that they don’t need to know anything – their charm will suffice when they’re dealing with Putin, or Ahmadinejad, it’s beyond hubris. i interrupted my piece on the Koch bros. to respond to this latest gaffe. amazing. as always, thanks for the thoughtful comment. continue
