DRAFT GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO

All of us receive a lot of political email. Here is how I am now responding to all of them;

“PLEASE…Democrats must draft NY Governor Andrew Cuomo to be our candidate for President of the United States. He is what a President should act and look like.”                tony powers, NYC

I am urging everyone to do this as well.

  1. I second your emotion. Maybe we can draft him right now.

  3. As much as I think Cuomo would make an excellent President, I doubt it’s wise (after so much momentum has shifted toward Biden) to risk throwing that surge away — in other words, “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.” The ALL-IMPORTANT question here is ELECTABILITY (defeating Trump), which means re-taking swing states (such as Michigan, Wisconsin & Ohio) which Trump won in 2016. It won’t matter by what huge margins the Democratic nominee wins New York and California. . if he can’t win the electoral college. I’m open to being convinced that Cuomo could win “middle America,” but I don’t see it at this point. Why go through another draining and costly battle for the nomination when most Dems and Independents in the primary states voting to date have shown they want to coalesce around Biden?

    • hmmm…you may be right. actually, you prolly are…still, i can’t help but be stunned at the stark difference between what we have in the Oval and what we should have. (Why are so many so stupid?) don’t answer – i know why. thanks MM. continue…
