What the haters don’t seem to take into account is that our current Medicaid, Medicare, and higher costs of those of us “lucky enough to be insured” (I robbed $3500 out of my retirement this year for one surgery because my Fortune 500-company-sponsored insurance has a $4K yearly out-of-pocket max, instead of the old $2K) are ALREADY costing every taxpayer gobs of money, because the only care the uninsured can get is expensive emergency room care, or care “written off” by hospitals and clinics (and transferred into everyone else’s costs). So the gist of this long comment is that I think the folks, the ones who don’t think the poor deserve health care?–they’ll be saving money in the long run with “Obamacare”, because some of the “undeserving” will be able to help pay their own way. Time will tell.
