The Ballad of Iowa – as it Concerns Michele (and Rick too)

speaking at CPAC in Washington D.C. on Februar...

Image via Wikipedia

Bye Michele, you were our prom pick

If jokes are bombs then you’re atomic

Goodbye to ya

Said Iowa

It’s left us short a major comic

Michele your routine’s are outrageous

You should play the world’s great stages

And stadiums

Then a year or two in Vegas

Glad to see your sidekick Perry

Will go on that’s very very

Good, he’ll shine

In South Caroline

His pratfalls are all legendary

Too bad – you and Rick were money

Loads of laffs both gaffs and punn-y

Now you’re gone

But Rick goes on

We have your faith he’ll bring the funny

Still Michele we’re broken hearted

Such great laughs have now departed

What a clown

But you fell down

Oy – Miss America has farted

Now Fox TV will come a-courting

(They like jokes in their “reporting”)

Oh Michele

You’ll do real well

We foresee some coffee snorting

So you and Marcus take some time

Shop for dresses –  dance and and dine

We’ll be here

When you reappear

To make us spit-take our wine

  1. Nicely done! Bravo!

  2. Love the dresses verse, really, had to have either that or “beard”.
And how you aren’t providing color commentary on a network is beyond me.
    Great stuff!

  3. Hmm … “shop for dresses” … for herself or for Marcus? Sorry. Can’t help wondering. They are a very odd couple.

  4. Barking in the Dark speaks his mind
His satire often leaves a sting behind
He sees through politics with clarity
His comments range from seriousness to hilarity
He is most interestingly, one of a kind

  5. Tony,

In Iowa all we have heard
Is political theater of the absurd.
    Bachmann, Santorum and Perry,
    The more the merry.
But the voters chose a rich turd.

    Keep up the fight!

  6. Not right that she’ll most likely get the book deal etc etc. out of it all …won’t really miss her, it’s not like we had a “Tina Faye” to amuse us the way so much great material was gleemed from Sarah Palin.

  7. Well done! Another baffling person who likes to make up her own reality.

  8. Agree with She Speaks. On the bright side, as so lyrically pointed out by you Tony, we still have Perry.
    Sadly we also have Santorum.
The only reason that jackass had such a good showing is because he said nothing in the week prior to indicate the severity of his brain damage and organic craziness.
I predict he won’t get a nod from anyone, not to mention the GOP. I base this on his prior bizarre Michelle-Perry public comments.
Exxxxcellent -again my best Mr. Burns imitation-
    Thank you Tony! Great ballad

  9. Now I feel rather empty since she was often the victim of my sarcastic GOP jokes.
